Uptime issues solved migrating. According to large scale research, ecommerce sites that load in under 2 seconds get over double the conversions of slower sites (sites that take 4s or more to load). Research from other companies backs this up with Google research showing that even 0.1s increase to page load time can increase conversion rate by up to 10%.
crox.com.au is a busy ecommerce site selling custom built gaming PCs. Creating a custom PC build is very complex, there are thousands of different parts and billions of potential combinations. crox.com.au's custom PC page could take anywhere from 20s to 40s to load and would often go down completely, sending owner Steven into a loop of restarting the web server, contacting cloudways support and his developers who would tell him it's complicated to fix or that it's already working fine for them.
With a quick project, we identified three main performance bottlenecks, and fixed them all, bringing the loading speed down to a speedy 2.5 seconds to load thousands of individual component options. In addition, after moving his hosting over to our sister company, safe WordPress, his site is all around almost twice as fast, no longer crashes (and he has piece of mind that it is being monitored). He is even saving hundreds every month compared to his previous cloudways high performance hosting.
